A lot of people do not travel with their pets and therefore don’t have a pet carrier. But you occasionally still need to get to the vet. So how do you do it? With a dog you grab a leash, pop the dog in the car, and whiz off to the vet. With a cat, though, what do you do?
Below are four alternatives to a cat carrier.
Cardboard Box
Almost any box that is big enough to house your cat will work. Make some holes for ventilation and find a way to close the box, it is that simple!
Laundry Hamper
Picnic Basket
Pillowcase
Swaddle your cat in a pillowcase. It might seem a bit extreme or cruel but it is perfectly safe. Be careful when you let it out though, it might sprint.
